Stefano Pratesi
One of Italy’s leading film and television directors and screenwriters, he is the winner of, among others, the prestigious Bellaria and St. Petersburg Film Festivals for his films Shot and Memories and the Siena International Film Festival for his film POSTCARDS. His most recent feature film is Beyond the River, the treatment of which won the 1997 Napoli Screenwriter’s Film Festival and the 1999 Solinas Screenplay Award.
Mr Pratesi is also one of Italy’s finest directors and writers of television commercials, including well-known advertisements for San Orsola champagne and Ambrogio lawnmowers.
Among Mr Pratesi’s latest projects are two extraordinary comedies written by him. CIRCUS SHOW PEOPLE (“Circensi”) concerns the incredibly funny adventures of a group of former circus artists, and the other, THE FACTORY OF DREAMS (“La Fabbrica dei Sogni”), concerns the reactions of an Italian village when a meteorite said to contain gold lands amongst them.
Mr Pratesi is the co-author with Dr Mia Sperber of the amazing screenplay projects THE GATES OF LIGHT, LOVE AND VIRTUE, THE BOOK OF LIFE and AN UNDERSTANDING OF LOVE. |
